Adventures with the Bears | I Don't Wanna

“Allie, the birds are outside chirping, it’s time to get up!” Zoey said while poking her head in the bedroom.
“I don’t wanna.”
“Allie Bear, momma’s making pancakes, your favorite, come down!” Bella yelled from downstairs.
“I don’t wanna.”
Eddie walked into the room and pulled on the blanket, “Get up, Allie, let’s go outside to play! I’ve got your wagon all ready to go!”
“I don’t wanna.”
“Ellie has the zoomies, come down to zoom with us!” yelled out Tabby.
“I. Don’t. Wanna.”
“Allie, Pinky wants to fly around the yard, do you want to come watch?” Annabelle asked.
Allie groaned, pulled the covers up over her head and rolled back over. Annabelle walked out and closed the door.
“Mommy, why doesn’t Allie want to come down and be with us today?” asked a concerned Zoey.
“I don’t know little one, maybe she just needs a little time to herself today.”
Bella and Zoey pulled out the tea set, hoping that may help change her mind. They prepared her favorite tea and made some tea sandwiches, getting it all ready for a family tea party.
“Allie, do you want to come have a tea party with us? We made all your favorites.” Bella poked her head in.
“I DON’T WANNA.”
“Momma, we don’t know what else to do, Allie usually wants to come down and play and she just seems so sad today…”, declared a defeated Bella.
Zoey picked up the phone and made a final attempt, “I know just what she needs.”
The doorbell rang, Grandma standing on the other side.
Without a word, Grandma walked up the stairs to find Allie under the covers and wrapped her arms around the little bear.
One by one, Bella, Zoey, Tabby, Eddie and Annabelle all walked in and laid down with Allie and Grandma, and before you knew it, there was a full bear pile
After a few moments, everyone walked downstairs.
Allie was all smiles.
Eddie pulled the wagon over and Allie climbed inside, Annabelle set Pinky in her lap, and they wheeled themselves outside. Bella poured her a cup of tea and Zoey handed her a sandwich.
“I knew Grandma would make everything better,” whispered Zoey, smiling at mommy.
Sometimes you just need a little extra love… and bear piles.
“I wanna.”
